The Tour officially begins with orientation at the Minnesota Forest History Center starting at 4:30pm for all participants. You'll receive an overview of the tour from the Foundation's Product-Market Development Manager, Ramona Arechiga, and get an opportunity to meet hosts and fellow participants.
Following orientation, Tour participants will get to walk around a recreated turn-of-the-century logging camp at the Forest History Center and we'll enjoy dinner outside. Following dinner, participants return to the AmericInn to rest up for the big days ahead!
The Tour concludes on Saturday, usually around 10am, following a wrap-up presentation and written and oral evaluations. Within a few weeks, all Teachers' Tour graduates receive a Certificate of Participation and an interactive CD scrapbook containing images from their trip, as well as contact information for everyone they met on Tour, and much, much more. In addition, Teachers' Tour graduates are eligible to receive continuing education credits from their schools and may apply for one undergraduate or graduate level credit from the University of Idaho.
