The Indiana Forestry tour is a one-day program that typically highlights Indiana's forest industry from the woodlot to the final product. Indiana's forest industry is very diverse, so the program moves to a different part of the state each year focusing on the unique aspects of that part of Indiana. Topics covered include woodlot management, tree measurement for volume, value added from the stump to the final product and the importance of the forest industry to the state's economy. Financial support is needed to cover the cost of the bus and lunch.

"Forests Worth Knowing" - the English-language Atlantic Teachers' Tour will be offered in Pictou, Nova Scotia this year. The Tour will provide teachers from all grade levels with a tremendous professional development opportunity by helping them gain a balanced understanding of forest management issues and allow them to put a face on the forest industry, all in the best classroom there is—the great outdoors! The program seeks companies and organizations interested in sponsoring individual teachers' participation.
A New Brunswick high school teacher has commented, "All my perceptions have been newly formed as a result of this experience. I understand more the complexities, and the goals of the industry—sustainability and balancing of the forest."
